My Tonic Clonic/Grand Mal Seizure

This is a tonic clonic (grand mal) seizure I had while in the hospital for video monitoring. I had electrodes hooked up to my head to monitor brain activity. The doctors were trying to see if the seizures were coming from one part of my brain. If they had been coming from one part of my brain, they would have been able to remove that part of my brain, ending the seizures. I am posting this video for educational purposes.  time to kill sitting in the hospital bed waiting to have seizures. And I enjoy coloring...it is very relaxing. :-) Joe

 does, @0:25 when his head drifts to the right, that is the exact same way mine are. That is the last thing i remember before blacking out. Hope all is well with you now. And one more thing, you are so right about having friends around when this may happen. My gf has talked my way out of countles
s partial ones. It does make a difference!
 the seizure has finished!!! Less is more!!!
 woke up to go fishing (on probably 4 hours of sleep) and i kind of fainted almost twice and then went into a 10 minute grand mal seizure. Im quite scared because i dont want them the rest of my life

 fractured my shoulder in two places from the seizure. I thank you for helping me learn more about seizures and what to expect if it does happen again.

är tonisch klonisch generalisierten anfällen. ich hatte zuvor nie die gelegenheit einen anfall zu sehen. dein video hat mir ein bild gegeben, was andere während eines anfalls zu sehen bekommen. ich hoffe es geht dir besser. ich möchte dir aber auch mut machen. ein führerschein ist auch für epi

 I am one lamotrigene now and feeling better. I have absence seizures, grand mals..tonic clinic. And drop seizures. I have injured my shoulder in grand mals. These came on when I was 46.
