Some of you may know that in summer 2010, a group of us started a non-profit DJ and music production program called Knockstudy. We partnered up with the Bresee Youth Community Center and have been teaching our free DJ and music production classes to inner-city high school kids ever since. Folks have been generous enough to donate their time, turntables, mixers, speakers, classrooms
—it's been crazy. And it's only because of that kind of support that a program like Knockstudy can exist. Our students have rocked crowds for Tim Burton at LACMA, thousands of teens at MOCA's Teen Night, and we are planning more exciting stuff for 2012. But we still need your help to make this pos
sible. It's been tough financially for a lot of people out there. And we want to make sure that we can continue to keep these classes around and free. When we heard about the Pepsi Refresh Project, we jumped all over it. Pepsi is holding an online contest for projects helping communities across the
